Be EcoSMARTER

Improve your organisation and save 16% on your energy bills with a free low carbon programme! EcoSMARTER is a new environmental programme that is free for organisations within the South Sefton Development Trust.

Limited places are available. Taking part will help you:

  • Save money on your energy bills - have a free electricity monitor installed on site and will receive environmental support from an expert to reduce your energy consumption. Energy bills have typically been cut by 16% following support from ecoSMARTER. Even those home based can take advantage of this scheme.
  • Gain an environmental certification. Organisations completing the programme will receive the Carbon Smart Blue Certificate, a national certification that promotes your environmental achievements and is recognised by central and local government in their procurement frameworks, such as the Chest. More and more tenders, loan and funding applications, ask you to demonstrate your environmental credentials. This programme gives you the confidence and the certification to enable you to do this.
  • Network with hundreds of like-minded local organisations from all sectors across the North West. The ecoSMARTER team will put you in touch with these potential customers and suppliers, face to face and online, making the connections that matter to your organisation.

Carbon Smart certification and the supply of an energy monitor is sold elsewhere in the UK. It normally costs £1,005 and includes a carbon footprint calculation for your company, a bespoke environmental policy and action plan, a staff engagement plan, green marketing strategy, environmental training and certification to demonstrate your efforts.

As this project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund, the certification is completely free for participating organisations. The ecoSMARTER team are looking for Sefton and Merseyside based businesses that have less than ten employees who would like to take part.
