National charity Action for Blind People offers free face-to-face counselling in Liverpool for people losing their sight or supporting someone with sight loss.
If you have lost or are losing your sight, you may be worried about how you will cope. You may feel depressed about the changes you are facing. Perhaps you are experiencing feelings of sadness, anger or anxiety and this is affecting you on a day-to-day basis. Or maybe it's causing you to worry about the future. During these times, you may find it helpful to talk through your feelings with someone outside your circle of family and friends. If you are supporting a person with sight loss, you may experience similar feelings and may need someone to talk to.
Action for Blind People's face-to-face counselling service offers confidential counselling to help you get through these times. The team consists of experienced and qualified Person Centred counsellors who understand sight loss. Action for Blind People offer a dedicated service for people with a visual impairment – you can talk about any issue, not necessarily related to your sight loss.
If you are interested in this service or want to find out more, telephone 0151 298 3223 or e-mail face-to-face@actionforblindpeople.org.uk.
