Picton Neighbourhood Health and Children's Centre has been involved with the local Frontline Centre, who operates a project called Foodbank. This project aims to give an emergency food pack containing three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food to people experiencing emotional or financial crisis.
Picton Neighbourhood Health and Children's Centre can issue food vouchers, and the Frontline Centre currently runs two days a week from the Frontline Cafe on Lawrence Road: Mondays, 11am-3pm & Fridays, 1-4pm. The Frontline Centre is also looking for volunteers to help sort food, and also donations from any local businesses and individuals.
