ecoSMARTER is a programme working with Micro SME Businesses across the North West to help deliver better energy efficiency and greater competitiveness. The Project is supported by ERDF and is overseen by the Department for Communities and Local Government. It is completely free for any qualifying small and medium enterprises, including social enterprises (9 or fewer employees).
This service will benefit your Liverpool businesses by helping them to:
- Save energy in their business (in the first pilot project participants saved on average 16%)
- Develop an environmental action plan, gain a recognised award to demonstrate their environmental credibility - vital when tendering for new business or raising funding. These small businesses need these but often don't know where to start/have the time/money for ISO 14001.
- Provide a network amongst the 250 participants to collaborate with and/or sell to or buy from each other.
