Granby Toxteth Activity Club has been operating a Freedom Girls summer scheme for three years and it has proved to help Muslim girls to participate in supported outdoor activities with other Muslim girls and girls from white/mixed race backgrounds. The project is for girls aged 9-14 years and we have previously had 15-year-olds girls from local schools participating as helpers for their Duke of Edinburgh Award 'service section'.
The project takes place at 3 Kelvin Grove, off Princes Avenue, Toxteth every Thursday night 6-8pm. New members welcome – come along to join the fun!
