Granby Community Mental Health Group (GCMHG), incorporating Mary Seacole House and the Advocacy Project, celebrated its 20th birthday in an event on Friday 19 August.
Mary Seacole House supports mental health service users in Merseyside to live respectable and fulfilling lives. The service, whilst aimed predominantly at black and minority ethnic groups, is open to all. The Advocacy Project provides independent advocacy to service users of the Mary Seacole House and local black community experiencing mental ill health.
Despite cuts to funding that both services have experienced, the trustee board is determined to face the future with a clear vision and a sense of optimism.
