The Big Lottery has invited up to two outline applications from Liverpool for this new funding stream. They are looking for partnership bids involving at least one Registered Social Landlord, and the two applications have to be supported by the City Council.
Because of these constraints, most of the Registered Social Landlords in the city and many other advice and social care agencies have got together to ensure that two strong applications are developed and go forward for council approval.
The first meeting of the group was hosted by Liverpool City Council and was attended by around 60 people. Working Groups have now been established, through which applications can be developed, and a Reference Group which will manage the process and scrutinise and strengthen the proposals.
If your group is working on an idea and would like to get involved in this process, please email your details to the Community Resources Unit, Corporate.Grants@liverpool.gov.uk for an invite, putting ‘Improving Financial Confidence’ in the subject line.
Be quick because outline applications have to reach the Big Lottery by Friday 16 September!
