The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation (MBF) has gone through a restructuring exercise in response to funding cuts which has reduced our staff numbers. We will no longer have regional representatives in each of the nine government regions, however we will maintain our national coverage. We have put in place a new structure which will focus our resources on engaging with projects, providing training and support services and strengthening our knowledge of mentoring and befriending in key sectors. We have a newly formed training and quality assurance team that can support you to set up and develop your mentoring and befriending project.
We will still be engaging locally and regionally through a mixture of training, consultations, networking and through the Approved Provider Standard. We will just be doing things differently, using technology more and focusing on the areas where we know mentoring and befriending really does make a difference.
We’re committed to representing and supporting the mentoring and befriending community and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the projects for their continued support and look forward to working with you in the future.
