Meeting Space Needed to Help Merseyside Refugee and Asylum Seekers

Merseyside Refugee & Asylum Seekers Pre & Post-natal Support Group (MRANG) is a voluntary organisation dedicated to providing a range of services to pre and post-natal asylum seeking and refugee women, based in the North West. The aim of MRANG is to provide a full range of services for such women, supporting them in a caring and confidential environment. The group is attended by women from over 60 countries worldwide, and currently has over 600 members regularly accessing MRANG services.

The organisation is looking for help in finding free or very low cost accommodation for its Tuesday and Friday meetings, attended by a maximum of fifty women at any one time. The kind of accommodation they are looking for is a comfortable room where women can talk and children have space to play, two or three small rooms for counselling, a room to store clothes and toys, and kitchen and toilet facilities.

Please contact Terry Phillips at phillim@hope.ac.uk if you can help in any way or know of anyone the organisation could approach.
