A new course exploring the big names in Socialist Theatre and their techniques starts on Tuesday 7 June at 7.30pm, at the Rotunda Community College in Great Mersey street, Liverpool L5 2PL.
The course is being organised by the Workers? Educational Association and will look at dramatists including German playwright Bertold Brecht, Italy's Dario Fo and the 7:84 group in Britain. The sessions will take place every Tuesday evening for five weeks and students will be encouraged to write and act as well, using the techniques they have learnt on the course.
At the end of the course, people will be invited to write and devise a contemporary political drama to be performed at the Rotunda itself.
