New Gift Aid Audit Guidance
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have changed their guidance on the process for auditing the Gift Aid claims of charities. Gift Aid audits are done to ensure that the scheme is operating properly, but many charities are not even aware of the process or that they must maintain records in case their organisation is selected for audit.
