Platform 51 represents the fact that 51% of people are female, and girls and women use Platform 51 as a platform to have their say.
During the 155 years since Platform 51 was founded, the organisation has evolved to reflect changes in society and the needs and expectations of women. This is true not only of the organisation's work but also of its new name. The name may have changed but what remains the same is the passion to help girls and women as they take control of their lives.
