Thousands of people – men and children included – will be stepping out in Merseyside in wedding dresses this summer. Five fun walks have been organized across the North West on Saturday 25 June on behalf of the Healthy Living Network and they will be a fun day out for all the family! Called The Big Big Day, the walks will be held at different locations across the North West and the participants will be dressed as brides, forming what is hoped will be a Guinness World Record breaking wedding march!
As well as the 5km walk, there will be entertainment on the day in the form of live music, competitions and beauty treatments. Participants will receive a training pack of physical activity and healthy eating suggestions along with wedding fancy dress props to get them ready for the 5K.
The project is lottery funded and the Healthy Living Network supports a range of healthy living projects in the North West of England, which aim to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities and individuals.
