Sport Makers is the official London 2012 volunteer legacy programme, backed by Sport England, helping people enjoy everything sport has to offer. As a Sport Maker, you will not only be part of the official London 2012 legacy, but have the opportunity to meet new friends, try new sports and experiences and, most importantly of all, have fun.
In order to become a Sport Maker, you need to register your details on www.sportmakers.co.uk or call Merseyside Sports Partnership on 0151 427 3889.
When you register you will have the option to book onto a Sport Makers workshop where you will have the chance to learn lots more about getting involved, how you will be part of London 2012 and how you can become a recognised local sporting hero.
The first Merseyside workshop for Sport Makers is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 14 December at Greenbank Sports Academy, Liverpool, 6-9pm.
Every Sport Maker who signs up and attends the workshop will receive free Adidas Kit. Once you have completed and recorded a minimum of 10 hours volunteering you will receive a voucher entitling you to three months free membership of Lifestyle Fitness Centres.
