Each year, Archbishop Kelly hosts this event at his home to thank the supporters of the Fred Freeman People for People Fund. Among this year's guests on Friday 1 July 2011, were legendary comedian Ken Dodd, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Councillor Frank Prendergast, and representatives of local workplace trust funds, including Merseyside Police, Riverside Housing and Barclays Bank, who all donate to the People for People Fund.

Via LCVS | United Way, the Fred Freeman People for People Fund distributes small grants to individuals to provide for some very basic human needs: bedding, clothing, heating, cookers and fridges. In 2010, LCVS | United Way distributed over £50,000 in these grants to people in need.

Archbishop Kelly said: "By supporting the Fred Freeman People for People Fund you can help provide some relief, some hope to the most vulnerable members of our community and show them that they are not being forgotten and that we are all working towards creating a better community for everyone.”
