Get Into Reading Project Worker (Trainee)
1 year fixed term contract
Salary £15,000 per annum
The trainee Project Worker will work within an existing team on the Get into Reading project in Wirral. You will be required to set-up, establish and facilitate weekly shared reading groups in order to promote reading, well-being and good mental health. In addition, you will be expected to take an active role and interest in the core business of the Reader Organisation (TRO), which includes training others in shared reading techniques, communicating the work of TRO effectively and fundraising.
The delivery of the reading groups will take place in many varied settings, including - but not limited to - libraries, community centres, mental health settings, hospitals, prisons, schools and businesses/workplaces, and may also include visiting young people in their homes.
