The Reader Organisation Vacancy

The Reader Organisation (TRO) is currently recruiting for two vacancies: Reader in Residence and Receptionist.

Reader in Residence
Full-time (starting Mon 3rd October) 1 year fixed term contract @ £17,000 p.a. (years 2 and 3 to be negotiated)
Based at Liverpool Hope University

This is a dynamic and varied job requiring you to be the on-site lead for an exciting new project TRO is undertaking with Liverpool Hope University. You will help develop a widespread and deep-rooted culture of reading for pleasure among 500 first year students in the Education Faculty at Liverpool Hope University. You will be managed by TRO’s lead for Children and Young People, Samantha Shipman, and will work alongside the TRO director, Dr Jane Davis, who will be based at Hope one day each week.

Receptionist
Salary: £12,000 p.a. Based at: The Reader Organisation, The Friary Centre, Bute Street, Liverpool, L5 3LA.

In order to support our continued growth, TRO requires a dedicated receptionist. You will usually be the first person a visitor, funder, beneficiary or commissioner meets, speaks to on the phone or corresponds with by e-mail. You are required to make that all important good first impression, so above anything else you'll need to have a good rapport with many different types of people helping them to feel looked after and at ease.

As well as looking after the reception we’ll also require you to undertake some additional administrative duties to help make TRO run as efficiently as possible. Basic training will be provided if required.
