About Gift Aid
Under the Gift Aid scheme, Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services can reclaim tax on your donation if you are a UK tax payer. For every £1 you give we can increase your donation by an extra 25p at no extra cost to yourself. Until 5th April 2011 the Government will add a further 3p 'transitional relief' for every £1 donated by Gift Aid.
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax reclaimed from HM Revenue and Customs (currently 25p for every £1). You may cancel this declaration at any time by notifying us at the address given in the Contacts section of this site (you must cancel if you cease to be a UK taxpayer).
