As part of our commitment to support the work of the voluntary, community and faith sector in Liverpool and across the City Region, the LCVS Grants Committee makes grants to organisations working to support our strategic goals around Education, Heath and Well-Being, Relief of Poverty and Arts and Culture. The Grants Committee is a sub-committee of the LCVS Board.
To help our work in this area, we are looking to appoint two external voting members of the Grants Committee to support Trustees and staff to deliver a grants programme that is simple, fair and effective.
LCVS works with organisations across the City (and occasionally wider) to ensure that we support the local sector, our public and private sector partners and the people they work with, increasingly working in collaboration towards common aims.
External members of the Grants Committee should have a working knowledge of the voluntary sector and how it can play an important role in the life of the City Region, working in partnership with the public and private sectors. We are looking for people who are able to commit to a minimum of three Grants Committee meetings per year as well as being available for additional meetings as required (for example, process review meetings).
For an informal discussion about the role, contact Colin Heaney, Co-CEO, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0151 227 5177, ext 3223.Back to blog
