Could You Help to House the Homeless of Merseyside?

According to government statistics, in March 2011, the total number of homeless in priority need on Merseyside was 182; many of these people are housed in temporary accommodation or living rough on the streets exposed to the elements.

Equfund's core business is to bring empty properties back into habitable use in order to provide affordable homes for those in housing need. To this end, they launch the ‘Homesavers Initiative’ which targets socially aware, ethically minded investors who want to use their resources to benefit the local community; but also require a fair rate of return on their investment.

For £7,500, Equfund can provide accommodation for long term use by a homeless person, giving them a roof over their head and a secure place to live; each property is fully refurbished up to Decent Homes Standard and let on an affordable rental basis. Investors are paid a fixed rate of interest at 7% p.a. over a three year term; after which their money is returned in full.

This is not a collective investment scheme, it’s an invitation to fund the provision of affordable accommodation to house the homeless of Merseyside; offering both a fixed rate of return and renewable term option.
