37.5 hrs per week
Salary scale £19,742 -£24,472
Based in Prescot but covering Liverpool City and Knowsley Borough
Serving the Liverpool City Region, The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.
We have just been awarded funding from Children in Need for an exciting new post which will address some of the real disadvantages experienced by children and young people experiencing homelessness such as low self-esteem, anxiety and mental health problems, instability and unmet educational needs.
This post has been funded for 3 years in the first instance.
We are looking for an exceptional support worker who has a minimum of two years’ experience delivering effective services to children, young people or families and a first class understanding of local education, health, housing and voluntary services. You will need to be highly organised with the confidence to work well in a multi-agency setting and to use your own initiative to make informed and effective decisions.
