The Advice on Prescription – Ways to Wellbeing Fund, is a partnership between Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) and LCVS.
Advice on Prescription enables all Liverpool GPs to refer patients for practical assistance from Citizens Advice advisers on a range of non-medical issues including housing, homelessness, job loss, complex debts, fuel poverty and welfare benefits.
The service has recently expanded its offer to include links to community based wellbeing services. The service Link Workers support patients to develop a personalised wellbeing plan and connects them to community based services that promote health and wellbeing.
Ways to Wellbeing funding
Citizens Advice Liverpool are looking to support local voluntary, community and faith (VCF) sector groups that can provide local services for individuals who have been referred to the programme. This element of the programme is being run as a ‘pilot’ and funding is limited, therefore the Link Workers within the Community Advice Liverpool team have highlighted the types of activities that they are currently looking to support.
