Healthwatch Liverpool – Engagement and Project Officer

Contract: Fixed term to 31 March 2023 with the possibility of extension to March 2025 depending on funding.
Term: Part-time.
Salary: £18,733 (£23,417 FTE).
Hours per week: 28 hours.
Days per week: 4.
Reporting to: Operations Manager.
Location: Liverpool City Centre (due to Covid-19 work is largely home-based at present).

Healthwatch Liverpool is the independent champion for people using health and social care services in Liverpool. They listen to what people like about services and what could be improved and share these views with those with the power to make change happen. People can also speak to them to find information about health and wellbeing services and activities available locally.

Your focus in this post will be on Social Care including care homes and other care settings in the following ways:

  1. As a key member of the Engagement Team, your focus will be on engaging with the public and gaining their views and experiences of social care and health services in Liverpool
  2. You will work closely with service providers, commissioners, public bodies and Liverpool’s diverse communities, using the feedback obtained from the public to improve social care and health services in Liverpool
  3. This role encompasses office-based and community-based activities and may require frequent attendance at meetings with social care providers, commissioners and diverse public and service user groups including outside normal office hours.
