Currently there are around 49,000 people in Liverpool who are unaware they have high blood pressure. To address this, local charity PSS is delivering free blood pressure training and targeted blood pressure checks in the form of pop-up sessions.
In order to reach as many people as possible, PSS aims to build capacity across the city and engage as many people possible through free training so that people can hold their own blood pressure checks on any scale, with family, friends, colleagues, work placed health initiatives or volunteers.
PSS can also hold targeted blood pressure checks in different locations at pop-up events aimed at your local community or service users.
If your organisation is interested in blood pressure training or holding a BP pop up, contact Lee Lewis at PSS at Lee.Lewis@pss.org.uk for more information.Back to blog
