The 2021-2022 Moving on Project for 19-24-year-olds starts in November

After a successful start last year, Strawberry Lemonade Events has been awarded funding by the Education and Skills Funding Agency to run the Moving on Project in Liverpool for a second year. They are currently looking for individuals aged 19-24 who are facing social exclusion from homelessness, mental health challenges, having a refugee background, those in addiction recovery, and long-term unemployment to recruit, train and mentor. It is for anyone with an interest in learning about events/hospitality.

As part of this FREE project, they are hosting a training course called ‘Event Management Fundamentals’ which covers modules such as digital marketing, customer service and copywriting, ensuring participants build confidence, new positive relationships and transferrable skills.

Participants will then host Strawberry Lemonade Events’ own events allowing their event support crew to gain paid employment and link in with other industry partners to secure further employment.

They have a proven model of successfully training people into the events industry and believe that Liverpool, being such a vibrant and open city, is perfect for them to create further social impact, especially after the huge success of their 2020/21 funded course.

Strawberry Lemonade Events is a corporate event management firm as well as a social enterprise.
