LCVS responds to incident on Water Street

Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) is deeply concerned following the events that took place on Water Street yesterday (Monday 26 May 2025). Our thoughts are with everyone affected and we are actively liaising with colleagues at Liverpool City Council and voluntary sector partners to understand the evolving situation and to identify how we can assist.

As the umbrella body for the city’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector, LCVS is committed to supporting a coordinated response and ensuring that communities receive the help they need—both now and in the days and weeks to come.

Liverpool has always been a city that comes together in times of crisis. Its people are known for their resilience, compassion, and solidarity. This time will be no different. Together, we will stand with those impacted and support efforts to rebuild and recover.

We will continue to work closely with our partners and provide updates on how the voluntary sector and the wider public can contribute to the collective response.
