Salary: £26,000 PA (+3% Employer Pension Contribution) Pro Rata for PT roles.
Hours per week: 17.5 hours per week.
Reporting to: LGBTQ+ Services & Operations Manager.
Location: Liverpool.

Sahir (formerly Sahir House) is the largest and oldest frontline LGBTQ+ charity in the Liverpool City Region. They are dedicated to securing a brighter, healthier future for our communities.

They provide practical and emotional support, camaraderie, and connection to:

• LGBTQ+ people
• Individuals living with or affected by HIV.

They actively confront injustice, combat discrimination, and address inequalities. Through campaigning, they strive to create a fairer and more equitable society for those they serve. Their work is insight-driven and data-informed, with programs co-developed with the communities they support.

Job Summary

The post-holder will be responsible for providing support and advocacy to LGBTQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum, ensuring they have access to essential services, resources, and community networks to enhance their wellbeing and integration.

This post is proudly funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

They seek someone with experience working with diverse communities. Knowledge/understanding of some of the common experiences and needs of LGBTQ+ people, and people living with HIV.
