The Prince’s Trust Liverpool recruiting for its fantastic Fairbridge Programme, which will start on Monday 13th January 2020. Fairbridge (for ages 16-25) is a personal and social development programme consisting of outdoor learning, including activities such as climbing, abseiling, mountain/hill walking, paddling, bush craft and mountain biking, all to build confidence and resilience in the young people. Incorporated are activities that build skills such as communication, teamwork, problem solving, setting/achieving goals and managing feelings, all of which inspires positive changes in attitude and aspirations.
There’s been a change in programme days for this intake; the programme will run from Monday 13th January for 3 days in week 1 (Mon, Tues, Wed), 2 days in week 2 (Mon & Tue) and then 1 day a week (Tue) from that point on until sometime in March, the exact date is to be confirmed.
Young people will receive 1-1 support with a dedicated case worker. After the programme young people will receive up to 3 month’s progression support to move them into a positive outcome such as a job, volunteering, education or training. Young people will also gain accredited qualifications along with Princes Trust accredited certificates. There’s also an opportunity to take part in an adventurous 3-day residential trip.
Fairbridge is fully funded. All kit and equipment is supplied, travel costs are reimbursed, lunch/meals are provided and none of this affects the receipt of benefits.
