Young people of the Liverpool City Region and the Metro Mayor – A conversation on COVID-19 #LCRListens

Webinar, Wednesday, June 3rd 2020, 3:30pm (BST)

The Coronavirus pandemic has completely transformed life as we knew it and has had a major impact on every citizen of our area. One of the groups most impacted by the effects of the virus is young people. Steve Rotheram invites the young people of the Liverpool City Region to take part in a live conversation about the impact of COVID-19 on your lives.

If you’re aged 13-18 or have special educational needs and/or a disability and are aged 13-25, this event will give you the opportunity to let the Metro Mayor know how the virus has been affecting you. He is keen to discuss:

  • The impact that the pandemic is currently having on you and on those close to you.
  • How COVID-19 is influencing your future hopes, fears and aspirations.
  • How the Combined Authority is responding to the significant social and economic challenges caused by the crisis.

Led by young people, the event will also invite participants to engage further with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority by joining the Metro Mayor’s Young Persons’ Advisory Group so that the crucial voices of our amazing young people and your passion and creativity can help to shape the Mayor’s vision and policies for the future. Steve Rotheram will also share your feedback with the Prime Minister so that your voice is heard loudly and clearly at the very top of Government.
