Active Through Football community consultation

Liverpool Sport and Recreation Service is part of a consortium of organisations across the Liverpool City Region that is seeking feedback about the type of activities that you, your service users and your partner organisations take part in.

We are a region where people live and breathe football. Working together, football has the power to level up and make a lasting change in our communities. Your involvement in this consultation will help to shape the football activities on offer in your local area.

Active Through Football’s ambition is to increase activity levels and create sustained behaviour change, using a place-based approach. The consortium is keen to work with organisations on the ground, to ensure those hardest to reach are targeted, and to design a project that breaks down the barriers currently faced.

There is a stubbornly persistent gap in levels of participation between individuals from higher and lower socio-economic groups. Sport England’s latest Active Lives survey (2018-19) shows that 18% fewer people from lower social groups are active, compared to higher social groups. Research is showing that this gap in activity levels has not improved during the Covid-19 pandemic and suggestions are that inequalities will widen.

Please help us shape the Active Through Football project in your area by completing this survey, and sharing it with other relevant people.

Complete the survey online.

Deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday 28 March.
