Age Concern Liverpool is combatting loneliness with its befriending service

Anyone aged 65 and over, living in Liverpool and feeling lonely or isolated can access the free Liverpool Reconnect service from Age Concern.

The service sees befriending and reablement officers work with individuals to:

• provide companionship
• signpost other agency services
• give them the confidence to go to the shops
• organise and planning their day
• accompany them to classes, activities, etc (when Covid safe)
• encouraging involvement in Liverpool Reconnect Interest Groups
• assess any welfare benefit entitlement
