Alder Hey Children’s Charity – Community Fundraiser

Contract: Permanent.
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £25,339 – £32,572 per year.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week (part-time and flexible working will be considered).
Days per week: 5 days (Monday – Friday).
Reporting to: Cath Harding, Head of Community.
Location: Homeworking or office-based or a mix of the two (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool).

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is the busiest children’s hospital in the UK caring for over 330,000 young patients every year. Alder Hey is a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease and a National Centre for head and facial surgery, they are one of only four centres nationally to provide epilepsy surgery and one of two accredited major trauma units for children in the North West.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises funds to support the pioneering work at their brand new hospital, Alder Hey in the Park, and aims to improve the quality of life for not only the young people they see each year but through innovations and research into childhood diseases, the quality of life for children across the world.

This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and dedicated person who shares their values and who will play a vital part in developing various Community Fundraising income streams.

They’re looking for someone that loves people and is passionate about fundraising, with experience building relationships with individuals or community groups. Charity fundraising experience is desirable but not essential, they’re open to candidates from other sectors who have transferable relationship management skills. You’ll also be self-motivated, proactive and an excellent collaborator. If you’re excited by the sound of this, they’d love to hear from you!

The role will focus on fundraising from community groups, Alder Hey trust staff engagement and their Charity Ambassador programme, to support the implementation of the Community Fundraising Team strategy.
