Alder Hey Children’s Charity – Community Fundraising Assistant

Contract: Permanent.
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £22,065 – £26,478 per year.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week (part-time and flexible working will be considered).
Days per week: 5 days (Monday – Friday).
Reporting to: Cath Harding, Head of Community.
Location: Homeworking or office-based or a mix of the two (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool).

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is the busiest children’s hospital in the UK caring for over 330,000 young patients every year. Alder Hey is a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease and a National Centre for head and facial surgery, they are one of only four centres nationally to provide epilepsy surgery and one of two accredited major trauma units for children in the North West.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises funds to support the pioneering work at their brand new hospital, Alder Hey in the Park, and aims to improve the quality of life for not only the young people they see each year but through innovations and research into childhood diseases, the quality of life for children across the world.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to enter into community fundraising at Alder Hey Children’s Charity. This role calls for a highly-motivated and organised person who shares their values. The role will play a vital part in supporting the day to day activity of the Community Fundraising Team in undertaking a wide variety of fundraising activities.

The role will focus on supporting the Community Fundraising Team through administration, stewardship of donors and reporting.
