Alder Hey Children’s Charity – Finance Assistant

Contract: Permanent.
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £21,422 -£25,707.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours (part-time and flexible working will be considered).
Days per week: 5 days (Monday – Friday).
Reporting to: Anne Lang, Finance Manager.
Location: Homeworking or office-based or a mix of the two (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool).

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is the busiest children’s hospital in the UK caring for over 330,000 young patients every year. Alder Hey is a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease and a National Centre for head and facial surgery, they are one of only four centres nationally to provide epilepsy surgery and one of two accredited major trauma units for children in the North West.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises funds to support the pioneering work at their brand new hospital, Alder Hey in the Park, and aims to improve the quality of life for not only the young people they see each year but through innovations and research into childhood diseases, the quality of life for children across the world.

This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and dedicated person who shares their values. This is a varied role that requires an ability to learn a breadth of finance processes, undertake day to day transactions and be adaptable to the needs of the organisation. Over time, this role will give you exposure to the full breadth of the management accounting function.

Part of the requirement of this role will be to undertake an apprenticeship AAT qualification.
