Alder Hey Children’s Charity – Fundraising & HR Support Officer

Term: Full-Time.
Salary: £19,500 – £22,795.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours.
Days per week: 5 days.
Reporting to: Kim Platt, Operations Manager.
Location: Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity supports Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which is the busiest children’s hospital in the UK caring for over 330,000 young patients every year. Alder Hey is also a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease and a National Centre for head and facial surgery, they are one of only four centres nationally to provide epilepsy surgery and one of two accredited major trauma units for children in the North West.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises funds to support the pioneering work at their brand new hospital, Alder Hey in the Park, and aims to improve the quality of life for not only the young people they see each year but through innovations and research into childhood diseases & the quality of life for children across the world.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all members of the charity team, donors – both existing and potential – and Trust staff. This role will provide support to the fundraising team and with HR processing for the charity, whilst also supporting with their hospital and online shop.
