Salary: £25,846 – £33,223.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours.
Days per week: Monday to Friday.
Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy.
Location: Mix of home working and office based (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool).

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 330,000 patients and families they care for
every year.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of their amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure their brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up-to-date and cutting-edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in their patients. They also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as their ward musicians, their on-site magician and the play specialists they have on every ward.

Job Description

They are recruiting for a Philanthropy Events and Research Lead to work within the Philanthropy team at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital. The Philanthropy team raises vital income from major donors, charitable trusts, foundations and other funders. This is a key role to support the team and help implement the Philanthropy strategy to reach new audiences and grow sustainable income. They’re looking for a proactive team player who loves organising events and has a structured approach to research, data and administration. Charity experience is desirable but not essential, they’re open to candidates from other sectors who have transferable skills. You’ll also be self-motivated and an excellent collaborator.
