Days per week: 5 days but flexible working will be considered.
Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy.
Location: Mix of home and office-based working (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool).
Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 330,000 patients and families they care for every year. Since April 2013, over £56m has been raised for a range of life-saving medical equipment and facilities that are making a real difference to families every day.
As part of the Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for managing the Trusts and Foundations team, including line management for two Trusts and Foundations Officers. This will include developing and implementing the Trusts and Foundation’s strategy, annual plan and budget, to secure funding from trusts and grantmakers. You will deliver excellence in the relationship management of both new and existing funders, identifying prospects, producing high-value funding bids and providing regular updates on the impact of the funder’s support, in order to achieve your own financial target and secure income for the charity. You will also be responsible for managing a wide variety of internal stakeholder relationships with senior colleagues in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
