Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021) and the tournament’s official community health partner Assura PLC, have opened applications for the Assura Community Fund RLWC2021 Grants Programme.
With a minimum of £100,000 available to help charitable and voluntary sector organisations deliver health and wellbeing activities, the partnership will support the tournament’s vision of creating opportunities and delivering widespread positive social impact.
The grants will be given to health projects working from or with Rugby League community clubs, existing recipients of the ‘RLWC2021 CreatedBy Capital Grants Programme’, and those within the eighteen RLWC2021 host towns and cities. Liverpool is one of these host cities, making local organisations eligible.
The grants will educate and teach skills to contribute to improved emotional health and wellbeing, gaining support for life challenges and providing increased activities and opportunities to improve self-confidence, self-esteem and belonging.
Online applications opened on 1 February 2021.
The submission deadline is 28 February 2021.
Successful applicants will receive one-year grants by 15 May 2021.
