Better Old Swan Priorities and Events

LCVS would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the Better Old Swan (BOS) project in the past year, attending meetings or giving us some feedback. Your opinions and views about Old Swan have helped us to define our focus for the BOS project.

We have defined three priority areas for the BOS project to focus on going forward:

1. High Street

Strengthening the role of the High Street in the Community. This will be done through developing a Business Breakfast group to help build resilience, and by developing some unique activity within the High Street,  supporting the High Street to become a “destination to go to, not a place to go through”. Next meeting: Tuesday 13 February 2018, 8-9am, Old Swan Library

2. Pollution and Traffic

Identifying factors that can be changed to improve Old Swan. We have been invited to join the air pollution task group for the city and regional, changing intermediate factors impacting on pollution. Next meeting is scheduled for March but details are yet to be confirmed.

3. Residents Involvement

Open meeting to engaging with residents to discuss progress, developments and wider opportunities for Old Swan, as well as how to get involved. Next meeting: Monday 22 January 2018, 6-8pm at All Saints, Broadgreen Road, Old Swan

The BOS project relies on local people to influence how it progresses and how successful it can be, and your involvement is welcomed.

If you would like more information about the project, contact Paula Atherton at paula.atherton@lcvs.org.uk or call 0151 227 5177, ext. 3222.
