Big Heritage CIC manages and creates museum tourist attractions as well as community heritage-based projects within the Liverpool region as well as Chester.

The company is quickly expanding and will continue to do so over the next few years and needs to increase its team and the expertise within it and therefore has new roles available.

Job Details

• The volunteer co-ordinator role will be to help manage an existing volunteer team and put in place systems and roles within the team to encourage and engage the volunteers in a productive way for the short and long term
• The person will need to create a volunteer charter, recruitment process and management system to work with the volunteers and ensure Big Heritage is able to support the volunteers
• Projects and roles for key volunteers will need creating and the existing team will need to be engaged with and encouraged in adopting a new system
• More volunteer opportunities will need to be identified and a safe environment created for volunteers will be vital
• Recruitment of new volunteers will be a crucial part of the role and this will involve engaging with community groups
• Experience of working within the voluntary sector is vital.
