Liverpool City Council announces plans to maintain voluntary sector funding

We are pleased to report that, at this meeting, Mr Reeves announced plans to maintain the City Council’s voluntary sector funding at it’s current level for the financial year 2020/21.

Grant programmes to be maintained include:

  • Community Resource Grant
  • Youth and Play Grant
  • Mayoral Neighborhood Fund
  • Hardship Fund

In addition, LCC plans to expanded support for the sector through:

  • Mayor’s Inclusive Growth Fund
  • Civic Crowdfunding Pilot Scheme

The MIGF is worth an additional £550,000, with the LCC contribution to the crowdfunding pilot valued at £150,000.

Liverpool City Council will officially set its budget at a meeting of the full Council on 4 March 2020.
