CELLS Project CIC Vacancies – Volunteering

Choices Education Lifelong Learning Skills (CELLS) Project CIC, based in Kirkby, Knowsley, seeks to change attitudes on crime for young people through awareness, inspiration and continued support. They are currently recruiting for a number of volunteering roles, which are detailed below. Social Media and Website Coordinator

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To coordinate all website activity including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. Support the delivery of online and digital marketing activities within the organisation; acting as the primary point of contact for all related enquiries.
  • To populate websites with up-to-date and engaging content, working with members of the Marketing and Sales team to produce and edit content to support the delivery of key campaigns and service areas as well as maintaining up to date technical data.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all-social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way

Skills and qualities:

  • Excellent ICT Skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners, Respectful and helpful relations with service users and project staff
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms

Other criteria:

  • Experience of social media/marketing background is desirable
  • Subject to a clear D.B.S check

 

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer   

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of programme monitoring and reporting ensuring data is of high quality and produced on time
  • Collate reports, articles, case studies, best stories from project to form evaluations
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output
  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the National Project Director/Project Manager
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing other relevant reports
  • Assist Project Manager in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results

Skills and qualities:

  • Excellent knowledge of monitoring and the application of methodology
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Respond sensitively and openly to and to all partners
  • Maintain respectful and helpful relations with service users and project staff
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to identify robust yet practical and deliverable evaluation plans

Other criteria:

  • Experience of monitoring and evaluation is highly desirable
  • Subject to a clear D.B.S check

 

Mentor (Training can be provided to obtain qualification)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Mentoring children and young people who are at risk of offending by offering one-to-one direct support
  • Work alongside other qualified mentors discussing and negotiating action plans for young people tailored to individual needs
  • Encourage mentees to take responsibility for their own decisions, plans and actions
  • Present a positive image as a mentor and follow the code of practice for CELLS
  • Keep up-to-date and accurate records of mentee contact
  • Encourage the mentee to express and discuss their ideas, concerns and understanding of the business situation facing them
  • Be emotionally resilient and can work in a challenging environment

Skills and qualities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, written and verbally
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation
  • Ability to deal sensitively with clients
  • Be emotionally resilient and can work in a challenging environment
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Committed to training and development
  • Good ICT skills and ability to document
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Embrace individuality and be committed to continual reflection on both attitude and professional practice

Other criteria:

  • Minimum of Level 2 Mentoring qualification (training for this qualification can be provided by CELLS)
  • Subject to a clear D.B.S check
