The government has announced changes to rules governing society lotteries, that will impact on the fundraising activities of many charitable organisations.
These changes include:
- A rise in the annual sales limit to £50m
- An increase in the prize limit from £400,000 to £500,000
- An increase in the individual per draw sales limit from £4m to £5m
- Changing lottery scratch card age limits from 16 to 18
