Christian Gold House Chapel (CGHC) urgently needs the services of a part time Project Manager. Located in Kensington, Liverpool CGHC will be running a one year oral history project about the role the church has played in the lives of people who have attended services here.
The 150 year old church building was for many decades an Anglican Church place of worship but since 2009, two African Pentecostal churches have taken over the premises and now provide church services to mainly African migrants in the locality. The project will record the stories of the important role the church played in the lives of the Anglican Christians to the African Pentecostal church congregation, this will include the baptisms, christenings marriages and other events.
The Pentecostal services include community events like christenings, baptisms, child dedications, running a food bank, organising community BBQs and music concerts.
The job will require you to:
- Coordinate and record the video oral histories of 25 participants who will be interviewed during the project
- Manage Project volunteers’ recruitment and training
- Update social media and the website of the church with project related pictures and blogs
- Ensure project is delivered to scope and budget
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Organise and coordinate all project related events
- Carry out any other essential project related tasks.
