Citizens Advice Halton – Directions Training Officer

Job Title: Directions Training Officer

Context: Citizens Advice Halton are seeking to recruit a Directions Training officer to work on their Directions Project from Halton’s two offices (in Runcorn and Widnes).
The Directions project is a new multi-agency, Liverpool City Region wide partnership, funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) with the aim of increasing the employability of local people who are currently unemployed or economically inactive. Citizens Advice Halton will support eligible local people to: receive employability support; and gain sought after employment skills and experience through volunteering.

Working with the Directions Project Keyworker to achieve the project’s overall aims and targets, the Directions Training Officer will also play a lead role in the recruitment, training and support of volunteers within Citizens Advice Sefton.

You must be able to show that you have experience of delivering support through group work and 1-2-1 with participants, including the design and delivery of training. You must also be able to show you have experience of the recruitment, training, development and ongoing support of volunteers.

Location: Citizens Advice Halton – Widnes and Runcorn offices

Salary: £23,836 – £26,317

Hours: 35 per week (Full time)

Leave: 25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays

Closing date: Friday 21st February 2020 – 12 noon
