Salary: £25,300 trainee.
Hours per week: 35 hours.
Reporting to: Project Lead.
Location: Various locations around Liverpool and from home.

Citizens Advice Liverpool is a charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice to people who live and work in the city. They depend on a workforce of paid staff and over 70 trained volunteers. They give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. They are the leading provider of advice and advocacy services in Liverpool and have helped clients with over 106,000 issues in 2022/2023.

Job Details

The Energy Advice Programme provides:

  • advice appointments to fuel poor and vulnerable consumers who are struggling to pay their bills or require better deals on energy
  • those who need guidance on the most appropriate payment methods or information on how to access help from energy suppliers and the Government
  • information about Smart Meters
  • information about protecting yourself from Carbon Monoxide.

The successful candidate will provide a generalist and energy casework service in a wide range of enquiry areas such as benefits, housing and employment. NVQ level 3 training will be provided and costs covered by CAL.

You will have excellent communication skills, be confident, motivated and willing to try new things. They’re not looking for the finished article, if you have the right attitude then we can help to develop your skills.
