Citizens Advice Liverpool – Equalities Programme Co-ordinator

Contract: Temporary – funded until October 2023.
Term: Full-Time.
Salary: £28,000 per annum.
Hours per week: 35 hours.
Reporting to: Projects Manager.
Location: CAL sites across Liverpool and Home Working.

The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) is the leading provider of advice and advocacy services in Liverpool.

The service aims to:

  • Provide the advice people need for the problems they face
  • Improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

Role Purpose

To lead Citizens Advice Liverpool’s Equalities Programme, play a key role in volunteer recruitment, training and retention, partnership development and in the planning and delivery of CAL Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) goals. The post holder will also lead on the development and planning of projects closely aligned to the Equalities Programme outcomes.

Context 

CAL Equalities programme aims to improve health and economic wellbeing for minoritised ethnic communities in Liverpool. You will support the development and delivery of a package of services that will improve access to services for clients, improve employability, health and wellbeing for volunteers and increase influence and participation in CAL activities.
