Citizens Advice Liverpool – Project Advice Coordinator

Contract: Permanent.
Term: Ongoing.
Salary: £31,800 FTE – pro-rata at 0.8.
Hours per week: 28 hours pw.
Location: Various locations around Liverpool and from home.

Citizens Advice Liverpool is a charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice to people who live and work in the city. They depend on a workforce of paid staff and over 70 trained volunteers. They give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. They are the leading provider of advice and advocacy services in Liverpool and have helped clients with over 106,000 issues in 2022/2023.

Job Details

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of providing advice
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in managing and supporting a team
  • Experience of advice case checking and providing feedback
  • Proven ability to monitor and maintain service delivery against agreed targets
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, conduct research and analyse and interpret complex information to produce and present reports and presentations clearly
  • Experience of creating and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience of using ICT systems and packages, and electronic resources in the provision of advice, record keeping and document production.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrable understanding of the issues affecting society and their implications for Citizens Advice clients and service provision
  • Ability to create a positive working environment in which equality, diversity and inclusion are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff are empowered and motivated to do their best
  • Commitment to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service and the vision of Citizens Advice Liverpool.
