Citizens Advice Liverpool – Technical Debt Supervisor

Location: Hybrid – Remote and Office based, flexible options available across Liverpool.

Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervise compliance with performance targets and quality standards in line with KPIs and set requirements of relevant funders as well as FCA, AQS, MaPS and Citizens Advice Membership Scheme
  • Monitor and report on monthly performance to demonstrate beneficial outcomes for their clients and take appropriate and consistent remedial action where required
  • Manage complaints in line with documented procedures and escalate to Head of Money Advice and Financial Inclusion Service if required
  • Provide court representation for clients, including emergency actions, by attending hearings at Liverpool Civil and Family Court
  • Provide Prepare and present cases ready for court hearings by checking time limits, adherence to pre action protocols by creditors, completing relevant court forms and checking fees/remissions
  • Negotiate with and signpost/refer to third parties as appropriate
  • Assist client with alternative dispute resolution cases e.g. Financial Ombudsman Service and ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits
  • Actively support clients through the process of bankruptcy and other insolvency solutions, including acting as an approved intermediary to process Debt Relief Orders
  • Provide advice-work support and second tier consultancy to advice staff.
