Trustees are a vital part of Citizens Advice Liverpool, providing governance and expertise to the everyday running of their independent charity during a time when they’re seeing their highest service demand in their over 85 year history. As a trustee, you’ll be joining a passionate and committed board with a shared vision of a society where everyone has access to justice and advice. Their mission has two parts: firstly, they provide free, independent advice on a range of practical issues, giving individuals the guidance they need to improve their lives and find a way forward. Secondly, they speak up for our community through advocacy work. They helped 31,429 clients in 2024 with 128,745 issues, so they understand the real problems people are facing; they can share these insights with key decision-makers to become a catalyst for change in our community
Citizens Advice are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join their Board of Trustees with expertise in any two from three areas of expertise: Human Resources, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), and Fundraising. As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, offering guidance and support in key areas such as HR practices, EDI initiatives, and fundraising efforts. They are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact and who bring valuable skills and insights to help them achieve their mission and ensure the sustainability and growth of Citizens Advice Liverpool.
